Hasson Named Big 12 Player of the Week

NORMAN — Freshman Jordan Hasson has been named Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Hasson finished the Sooners' pair of matches 2-0, tallying singles wins in both matches.

In No. 20 Oklahoma's sweep over No. 18 Texas A&M in the Headington Family Tennis Center on Friday, No. 70 Hasson notched a three-set win, 6-7 (2), 6-3, 7-6 (3) over Pierce Rollins on court three. Hasson's win earned the team their seventh point of the day.

Against No. 4 Baylor, the freshman earned OU's first singles win on the day, defeating Marko Miladinovic at the No. 3 in a 6-2, 6-3 fashion.

Hasson's award is the first weekly honor of his career and the second for the Sooners this season.

OU is back in action Friday as the Sooners travel to Tucson, Ariz., to face the Arizona Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. CT.
