NORMAN – Oklahoma senior Ivana Corley has been named the Big 12 Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

The Sooners had a monumental run in their first ITA National Indoor Championship appearance in Madison, Wis. OU rolled through their first three matches against Wisconsin, No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Pepperdine to earn a spot in the finals against No. 2 UNC, ultimately falling 2-4 against the three-time defending champions.

Corley went undefeated by the end of the tournament, 8-0, taking down multiple ranked opponents along the way.

In doubles, the No. 11 ranked Corley Sisters returned home with four more notches in their belts. They opened the weekend with a 6-4 win over Wisconsin's Xinyu Cai and Alina Mukhortova and a 6-3 victory over Kylie Collins and Sabina Zeynalova of Texas. The duo then picked up back-to-back ranked wins on the doubles court, starting with No. 5 Pepperdine's 15th-ranked pair Liza Zaar and Victoria Flores, 6-4, and following it up with a victory over the No. 1 duo Fiona Crawley and Elizabeth Scotty, 6-3, in the title match with UNC.

On the singles court, Ivana competed in the No. 3 spot the entirety of the time in Madison, defeating Mukhortova 6-3, 6-1 in the match against Wisconsin. She then went on to take down Texas' Charlotte Chavatipon, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 before grabbing her ranked win against No. 34 Flores, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.
