NORMANĀ - The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams will head to Lubbock, Texas for the second time this season for the Texas Tech Shootout, Feb. 11-12.
"This is our second time going to Texas Tech," said head coach
Tim Langford. "This meet really sets us up to see what's going to happen and what kind of team we're going to look like for the conference championship."

The meet is scheduled to begin with women's weight throw at 3 p.m. CT on Friday. Day two will kickoff at 10 a.m. withĀ women's shot put. The Sooners are expected to have 56 athletes competing.

On day one, freshmanĀ
Olivia LuekingĀ broke the school record in women's pole vault, previously held by Lueking herself, clearing a personal best at 14-4 (4.37m).

Mikayla HayesĀ made another big splash in her career, clocking a personal best, 7.56, for the second time at the Husker Invite to take second. On the men's side, redshirt seniorĀ
Karson KowalchukĀ was the only Sooner in the finals, taking fifth with a time of 6.78.
