Hannah Screen was named to the All-Big 12 team, it was announced by the conference on Thursday morning.
The honor is the first Big 12 accolade of her career, but second All-Conference selection as she was named All-AAC as a freshman at Houston. The selection marks the 17
th All-Big 12 honoree of the Drouin-Luttrell era.
"We're so proud of Hannah for all that she accomplished this year," 12
th-year head coach
Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said. "She's so deserving of this honor and had such a great season, so it's nice to see her rewarded for that."
Screen, a junior from London, England, led Oklahoma to one of its most successful seasons in program history in 2020-21. Her season-scoring average of 71.67 is the second lowest all-time in Norman and with 24 rounds played in her first year at Oklahoma, she owns the career scoring record for the Sooners too.
"It's a great honor to know that I can go out and compete in one of the strongest conferences in college golf," Screen said. I'm so grateful for my coaches and teammates that pushed me all season to get to points like this."
Screen led Oklahoma, who was ranked inside the nation's top 10 in the fall, in six of the team's tournaments this year, collecting five top-10 placements and finishing outside of the top 20 only twice. Her play helped guide the Sooners to the second-lowest season-scoring average in program history as a team, posting a 289.43 over 21 rounds played as a squad.
Screen and the Sooners return the entire starting lineup, minus
Kaitlin Milligan in 2021-22.
