NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's tennis team is set for the program's 11th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance as the Sooners head to the College Station Regional.

OU will open the tournament Friday at 11 a.m. with Denver while host Texas A&M and New Mexico square off on the other side of the bracket. The winner of each site advances to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, where the 16 teams will compete for the national championship May 17-28.

2021 marks OU's fourth NCAA appearance under Crowell. The Sooners have advanced to the NCAA second round or further in each of the last seven seasons, including a Round of 16 appearance in their last tournament outing in 2019.

The Sooners find themselves in familiar territory for the tournament's first two rounds as OU played in the 2019 College Station Regional. The Sooners upset host Texas A&M 4-3 to go to the Round of 16 behind a clutch performance from then-freshman Mason Beiler.

Oklahoma reached three consecutive NCAA finals in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

As the action came down to the final court, freshman Mason Beiler battled through a third-set tiebreaker on court five to claim the match for the Sooners with a 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (9-7) comeback victory. After trailing 6-3 in the breaker, Beiler ultimately saved seven match points to close out the set and the match 7-6 (7) on a forehand winner.
