ORLANDO, Fla. — No. 23 doubles partners Carmen Corley and Ivana Corley upset No. 3 Georgia Tech's Victoria Flores and Kenya Jones, Monday in round of 32 of the NCAA Doubles Championships in Orlando, Fla.
The sisters from Albuquerque, N.M., impressed with a 7-6 (3), 6-3 victory to advance to round of 16. The Corleys battled back from being down 2-4 in the first set to win it 7-6 (3) and breezed through set two to secure the upset.
The duo advances to 18-2 on the season. Prior to today's matchup, the pair has the second highest win percentage in OU history, recording a .895 on the season.
The Sooners will return to action tomorrow, May 25, for the round of 16. The time will be announced at a later time.
