NORMAN – The No. 24 Oklahoma men's tennis team fell to No. 26 UCF 4-0 Saturday in the final non-conference match of the season.
In doubles, OU's Jake Van Emburgh and Mason Beiler were defeated by Juan Pablo Mazzuchi and Gabriel Decamps, 6-3 on court two.
No. 52 Alex Martinez and Nathan Han fell to UCF's Hilderbrand and Bogdan Pavel 6-4 and the Knights took the opening point.
When play was halted, Mark Mandlik and Kento Yamada trailed Kento Yamada and Alan Rubio 4-3 on court three.
In singles, Martinez fell to Mazzuchi 6-4, 6-0 on court three. Mandlik was defeated by HIlderbrand 6-4, 6-3 at the No. five line. No. 110 Van Emburgh dropped to No. 4 Decamps 6-4, 6-0 at the top spot.
No. 105 Mason Beiler led Alan Rubio 4-2 in the second set after dropping the first 6-2 on court two. On court four, Han was locked in at 3-all in the second with Yamada after winning the first handily, 6-1. Welsh Hotard trailed Mikhail Sokolovskiy on court six, 7-6 (3), 3-0.
