NORMAN — Three University of Oklahoma men's tennis players checked in at the top 55 of the ITA Division I Singles National Rankings, the association announced on Tuesday.
"This fall has been about laying the foundation every day," head coach Nick Crowell said. "Having three guys ranked in the top 55 going into the spring is a product of the work the team is doing. We are excited to get started in January and continue to grow."
Senior Mason Beiler holds the No. 31 spot after a successful fall slate, earning a career-high ranking. Beiler, a product of New Port Richey, Fla., went 10-4 in singles competition, highlighted by two top-25 wins. The senior was one of four student-athletes to reach the quarterfinals of both the ITA Central Region Championships and ITA All-American Championships. Beiler's semifinals run at the ITA Central Region Championships was the program's best since 2014. Beiler entered the fall season ranked No. 46.
Junior Mark Mandlik makes his debut in the ITA rankings, holding the No. 49 spot. Mandlik capped the 2021 fall season with a 10-3 singles record. The Delray Beach, Fla. Product tallied a ranked win en route to quarterfinals run at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
Freshman Jordan Hasson secures the No. 54 ranking following an impressive collegiate debut. Hasson capped his fall season 17-4 in singles competition.
