Sooners Head to ITA Central Region Championships

NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's tennis team is on the road this week for the ITA Central Region Championships hosted by the University of Iowa.
The tournament will run from Oct. 21-25 and include singles and doubles draws.
"We are excited to compete against the best players in the central region," said head coach Audra Cohen. "Each match will be an opportunity for our team to get better."
Ivana Corley, Sasha Pisareva, Marcelina Podlinska, Layne Sleeth, and Emma Staker will represent the Sooners at the event.
"We are looking forward to competing at regionals and continue our path of getting better," said volunteer assistant coach Mariana Cobra. "This tournament usually consists of a lot of matches and opportunities to get better! We are so excited!"
