Carmen Corley Named Big 12 Player of the Week

NORMAN – Oklahoma sophomore Carmen Corley has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Corley went undefeated last weekend on the No. 1 courts for both singles and doubles. Included was a win over the ITA No. 86 ranked singles player from Tulsa, Martina
Okalova, where Corley came back from a first-set loss to take the next two.
In doubles, teamed with sister and OU junior Ivana Corley, the sophomore from Albuquerque, New Mexico, shut out the No. 22 Tulsa tandem of Okalova and Vera Ploner. The
Corley sisters are now 23-1 as a doubles pair since Carmen joined the roster last January.
This is Corley's second career Big 12 Player of the Week honor and first this season. The accolade is OU's first of 2021.
Corley and the Sooners are back in action Saturday to host Texas in a non-conference match at 3 p.m. CT.
