NORMAN – Seven members of the Oklahoma women's tennis team have earned Academic All-Big 12 honors, the conference announced Tuesday.
Ivana Corley,
Nina Jabrzemski,
Oleksandra Korashvili,
Skyler Miller,
Kianah Motosono and
Camila Romero all garnered first team honors while
Martina Capurro was a second team honoree. OU led all Big 12 schools with seven selections, tying for the most in program history.
Additionally, Miller and Motosono were among nine student-athletes in the league with 4.0 GPAs.
This is the first academic honor for Corley, Jabrzemski, Korashvili, Motosono and Capurro, while Miller and Romero were Academic All-Big 12 selections in 2019.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
