April 28, 2020 | Women's Tennis

NORMAN – Seven members of the Oklahoma women's tennis team have earned Academic All-Big 12 honors, the conference announced Tuesday.

Ivana Corley, Nina Jabrzemski, Oleksandra Korashvili, Skyler Miller, Kianah Motosono and Camila Romero all garnered first team honors while Martina Capurro was a second team honoree. OU led all Big 12 schools with seven selections, tying for the most in program history.

Additionally, Miller and Motosono were among nine student-athletes in the league with 4.0 GPAs.

This is the first academic honor for Corley, Jabrzemski, Korashvili, Motosono and Capurro, while Miller and Romero were Academic All-Big 12 selections in 2019.

First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
