Trio Named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team

NORMAN – Three Sooners have earned Academic All-Big 12 honors, the league office announced Tuesday.
Mason Beiler (Business), Jochen Bertsch (Human Relations) and Max Stewart (Psychology) have all garnered first-team recognition. With three first team honorees, OU ties for the second most in the Big 12.
This is the first academic award for Bertsch, while Beiler was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team as a freshman in 2019 and Stewart was a first-team honoree also in 2019.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
