NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's team won both matches at home Sunday.

With the wins, OU improves to 8-3 on the season.

"I felt like all of Texas Tech's players came out and played well, we had to earn it. It go tricky and tight sometimes, but we just had to keep rolling with the punches," said OU head coach Audra Cohen. "I'm happy with how the girls fought and how resilient they were deep in matches. It was good to get that win."

OU 4, TTU 3

In the first match of the day, the Sooners won the doubles point. Carmen Corley and Ivana Corley beat Bojana Marinkov 6-2 on the premier court. Martina Capurro and Camila Romero also won 6-2 on the third court.

When play ended, Jasmine Asghar and Oleksandra Korashvili were tied 5-5 on the second court.

Oleksandra Korashvili was the first Sooner to finish in singles. She defeated Margarita Skriabina 6-2, 6-2 on the second court. Camila Romero fought hard and came out victorious with a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 win over Reagan Collins on the sixth court.

For the match point, Marcelina Podlinska fought in a tough battle and came out victorious with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 over Isa Di Laura win on the fifth court.

Carmen Corley fell to Lisa Mays 3-6, 1-6 on the third court. At the No. 1 line, Olivia Peet beat Martina Capurro 6-3, 6-1.

Jasmine Asghar fell 6-4, 4-6, 2-6 to Bojana Marinkov on the fourth court.

OU 7, UAPB 0

For the second time of the day, the Sooners won the doubles point to start their match. Camila Romero and Martina Capurro sweep Erin Jacks and Alondra Lepe on the third court. For the doubles point, Oleksandra Korashvili and Jasmine Asghar finished with a 6-0 victory on the second court.

Quick to follow, Ivana Corley and Carmen Corley came out with a 6-0 win on the premier court.

In singles, all six courts were swept 6-0, 6-0 by the Sooners.
