"We continued to mix our doubles around a little bit," said head coach Nick Crowell. "I was really proud of Matt Rodriguez and Mark Mandlik for clinching the doubles point. They were down a break twice and showed a lot of resiliency in coming back and winning that point for us."

In singles, Bertsch won his seventh straight match handily, routing Cacciatore 6-1, 6-0 on court six. No. 104 Beiler powered past William Gleason 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 2 line.

The Sooners tacked on one more win when Alex Martinez defeated Shunya Maruyama 7-5, 6-4 on court four.

At the top spot, Van Emburgh fell to Moreno Lozano 6-1, 6-1.

"I thought Nebraska did a good job in the singles in really pushing us and pushing some of those sets," Crowell said. "Our guys stayed strong mentally and were really perseverant late in those second sets."
