Three Sooners Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Status

NORMAN – Three members of the Oklahoma men's tennis team have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status, the organization announced Thursday.

Mason Beiler, Max Stewart and Stefano Tsorotiotis were all recognized for maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the 2018-19 academic year. Stewart boasted a 4.0 GPA.

All three Sooners are first-time honorees, and the award marks the second academic accolade for each this season. Sophomores Stewart and Tsorotiotis were tabbed to the Academic All-Big 12 first team, while Beiler, a freshman, was previously named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.

The Sooners will return to the court in the fall for their tournament slate. A schedule will be released at a later time.
