NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team while four student-athletes collected ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, the organization announced Thursday.
Freshmen Ivana Corley and Kianah Motosono and sophomores Nina Jabrzemski and Skyler Miller all earned Scholar-Athlete status for maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2018-19 academic year. Motosono, Jabrzemski and Miller all boasted 4.0 GPAs.
This is the second ITA honor for both Jabrzemski and Miller, who were named Scholar-Athletes in 2018.
2019 marks the ninth straight year that the Sooners have been tabbed an All-Academic Team with a combined GPA of 3.20 or higher. As a squad, OU registered a 3.295 GPA for the year.
The Sooners will return to the court in the fall for their tournament slate. A schedule will be released at a later time.
