NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Mason Beiler's fall tournament run came to an end Friday at the ITA National Fall Championships.
Beiler fell to No. 4 overall seed Daniel Cukierman (USC), 6-2, 6-4 in the main draw Wednesday before moving into consolation. There, the sophomore dropped a three-set heartbreaker to UCF's Gabriel Decamps, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
Beiler finishes the fall at 8-5 overall. The Florida product's successful fall season saw him a consolation finals appearance at the Battle in the Bay. Beiler, who was unranked, tallied three wins over three ranked opponents in No. 86 Luc Fomba (TCU), No. 32 Gui Osorio (San Diego) and No. 39 Parker Wynn (Texas Tech). The sophomore also made a run to the singles quarterfinals at the ITA Central Region Championships.
