Capurro Set for National Fall Championships

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Martina Capurro of the Oklahoma women's tennis team is set for the 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships beginning Wednesday in Newport Beach, Calif.
ITA No. 82 Capurro was an at-large selection for the 64-player singles draw, which features teams from all five divisions.
The junior completed the fall season at 11-4 overall. Capurro racked up six wins over ranked opponents, including an upset of No. 13 Marta Gonzalez of Georgia at the ITA All-American.
Capurro also made a run through qualifying at the ITA All-American into the main draw. Capurro finished the tournament in the consolation quarterfinals. At the ITA Central Region Championships, Capurro powered her way to the singles and doubles semifinals.
Live stats will be available for the tournament. Singles finals will be aired on ESPN3 on Sunday, Nov. 10.
Six more Sooners will head to Baton Rouge, La., for the Tiger Fall Classic to wrap up the season. Draws for both tournaments will be released at a later time.
