Oetzbach has seen great success in doubles play, most notably alongside fellow German Jochen Bertsch – the pair entered the spring season ranked No. 43 in the ITA release after making a run to the ITA Regional Championship quarterfinal during fall tournament season. Now in dual play, the duo clinched the key doubles point against then-No. 28 Kentucky in a thriller, winning 7-6 (9) on court three after the Sooners split with the Wildcats on the other two courts, and setting OU up to rout Kentucky, 6-1.
