NORMAN – For the second time in her career, junior Lily Miyazaki has been named to the All-Big 12 Singles first team, the conference announced Thursday.

Miyazaki was named to the first team in 2015 as a freshman.

During her junior campaign, she compiled a 13-5 dual-match record in singles to lead the Sooners from the No. 1 line. The Tokyo, Japan, native won all her matches in straight sets and finished the season ranked No. 32 in the final ITA release.

During fall tournament play, Miyazaki compiled a 16-2 singles record and went undefeated at both the Wolfpack Invitational and OU Invite. She also recorded a 6-0 finish at the Division I Women's Central Regional Championship to earn a bid to the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, where she advanced to the second round.

Miyazaki was also named to the 2017 Academic All-Big 12 first team, and was one of four athletes conference-wide with a 4.0.

Miyazaki will compete at NCAA Women's Individual Championships in Athens, Georgia, from May 24-29, becoming the first Sooner to do so since 2004.
