NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's tennis team's season-opening match versus Creighton, scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. CT, has been canceled due to forecasted inclement weather and potentially poor travel conditions,. The match against the Bluejays is to be rescheduled at a later date.
The Sooners will still have plenty of tennis this weekend as they host Abilene Christian and Nebraska-Omaha Sunday at noon and 5 p.m. CT, respectively, inside the Gregg Wadley Indoor Pavilion at the Headington Family Tennis Center. The Sooners, coming off three consecutive national runner-up campaigns, look to capture their first wins of the season on opening day before a trip to second-ranked Wake Forest on Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. CT.
Fans in attendance on Sunday will receive a free T-shirt and free pizza. As always, admission is free. For more information, follow @OU_MTennis on Twitter.
