Miyazaki Wins ITA Central Regional Tournament

Miyazaki Ends Run at National Indoors

FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. –  Lily Miyazaki's  run at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships end on Friday with a straight-set loss to Vanderbilt's No. 12 Sydney Campbell.

Campbell took down No. 72 Miyazaki, 6-2, 6-3 in round of 16 action at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The Tokyo, Japan, native moves on to 7-2 against ranked opponents during the fall season and 16-2 overall. She was the first player to represent OU at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships since 2009. 

The rest of the Sooners begin the Florida State Seminole All-Conference Showdown Friday with play running through Sunday in Tallahassee, Fla.
