Run at Cajun Classic Ends

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Sooners' run at the 2015 Cajun Classic came to an end Sunday as sophomore Spencer Papa fell to Arthur Libaud of host school Louisiana in the final of the consolation singles draw.
Papa dropped his first round match in the championship singles draw, but then won three straight matches in the consolation draw to advance to Sunday's final.
Against Libaud, Papa dropped the first set 4-6, but rallied to take the second frame relatively easily at 6-2. Libaud would take the third and deciding set 6-2 to claim the match.
OU grabbed seven wins in singles over the weekend. Papa led all Sooners with three.
The Sooners will be back in action this weekend as the collegiate tennis world turns its sights toward Tulsa, Okla., for the 2015 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships.
