ATHENS, Ga. -- Costin Paval and Dane Webb advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Championships Thursday after the duo defeated Pepperdine's Alex Llompart and Finn Tearney at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the University of Georgia campus.

The OU duo, ranked 10th-nationally, continue to play strong as they beat the Waves' 15th-ranked tandem to move onto the quarterfinals. Webb and Paval earned a 7-6 win in the first set, but dropped a 6-3 second set. The OU tandem returned the favor in the final set, 6-3, to take the match.

Webb and Paval will either face Stanford's Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher, ranked No. 4, or Duke's No. 16-ranked Henrique Cunha and Chris Mengel in quarterfinal action Saturday.
