Alcorta Falls in Second Round of Main Draw

NORMAN, Okla. -- Guillermo Alcorta competed in the first two rounds of the main draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. 

ITA No. 28 Alcorta fell to Princeton's Matija Pecotic, No. 67 in the standings, 7-6 (0), 6-3, in the second round of the main draw. 

Alcorta faced Pepperdine's Finn Tearney in the morning round, winning 6-2, 4-6, 7-5. Tearney was the ITA No. 14  player in the preseason rankings. 

Alcorta's loss ends Sooner play at the tournament. Fall play resumes Oct. 12 at the USA F28 Futures tournament in Mansfield, Texas.
