NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma's Costin Paval and Dane Webb advanced to the third day of qualifying at the USA F28 Futures tournament in Mansfield, Texas.
The two Sooner All-Americans competed in the second round today. Senior Costin Paval topped Carlos Di Laura 6-2, 6-0. Sophomore Dane Webb beat Charles Boyce 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5).
Paval and Webb continue qualifying rounds Monday, Oct. 15. They will face Eric Quigley and Phillip Simmonds, respectively.
Both Paval and Webb breezed through the first day of qualifying. Paval beat Leonard Ivic 6-1, 6-1 and Webb beat Brayner Carvahlo 6-0, 6-0.
