IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma's Ana-Maria Constantinescu and Teona Tsertsvadze were named to the 2010 All-Big 12 team, announced by the conference on Wednesday.

Constantinescu and Tsertsvadze made the All-Big 12 doubles team while Constantinescu also earned a spot on the All-Big 12 singles team.

Constantinescu and Tsertsvadze have led the Sooners at the No. 1 doubles position for most of the season, holding a 10-9 overall record and 6-4 in the Big 12.  The OU pair has been nationally-ranked in every poll this season, starting the season at No. 39 nationally and No. 1 in the region and ending at No. 41 in the nation and No. 2 in the region.

Constantinescu earned All-Big 12 honors for the third-straight season.  Constantinescu has been named to the All-Big 12 singles team every year of her career and was named the 2009 Big 12 Player of the Year.  This is the first time Constantinescu has made both the singles and doubles team.

"Although Ana did not have the type of year that she hoped she would," OU head coach David Mullins said. "There is no doubt that she still one of the top players in the country."

Constantinescu holds a 12-9 overall record this season and went 6-6 in Big 12 play.  Constantinescu started the season ranked No. 56 nationally in singles and No. 2 in the region.  Constantinescu faced seven nationally-ranked individuals this season, including No. 5 Lenka Broosova of Baylor and No. 28 Aeriel Ellis of Texas.

"She is very deserving of making the All Big 12 team in both singles and doubles," Mullins said. "I am just thrilled that I get the opportunity to coach her for one more year."
