Constantinescu Eliminated in ITA All-Americans

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Senior women's tennis player Ana-Maria Constantinescu was eliminated in the 2010 Riviera/ITA All-American Championship Tournament Thursday after losing to No. 36 Lutfiana Budiharto of Wichita State in the consolation bracket, 6-3, 6-2.

Competition was suspended Tuesday and Wednesday due to weather and Constantinescu's original consolation match was cancelled.  No. 69 Constantinescu led No. 51 Julia Trunk of San Diego State in the consolation bracket, 6-1, 3-1.

Constantinescu will return to action on Oct. 22-25 at the ITA Central Regional Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.  Constantinescu will look to defend both the singles and doubles titles she won at last year's tournament in Norman.
