Constantinescu Falls in Round One of ITAs

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – OU women's tennis senior Ana-Maria Constantinescu lost in the first round of the 2010 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships Qualifying Round Tuesday.
No. 69-ranked Constantinescu fell to N.C. State's No. 55 Sandhya Nagaraj, 6-3, 6-1. Constantinescu led No. 51 Julia Trunk of San Diego State in the consolation bracket, 6-1, 3-1, but the match was postponed due to weather until Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The Riviera/ITA All-American tournament is a double elimination event that consists of three rounds over seven days.
Participants in each round were selected by the ITA based on national rankings. Eight winners from the Qualifying Round will advance to the Main Draw.
