COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The second weekend of the 2010 Oklahoma season saw OU athletes earn five individual titles, all in field events, Saturday at the Texas A&M Invitational. Along with wins by Neelon Greenwood (long jump), Ti'Anca Mock (long jump), Karen Shump (shot put), K.P. Singh (weight throw) and Kevin Snyder (high jump), Oklahoma athletes earned seven NCAA provisional qualifying marks needed to be considered as an at-large bid for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Shump, already the program record holder in the shot put, won the event with a provisional qualifying throw of 55-3.75 (16.86). Shump was one of two Sooners with a provisional qualifying mark as Amy Backel recorded a PR of 51-6.50 (15.71) to finish second in the event. The throw is the fourth longest in progam history. Two other throwers opened their Oklahoma careers and put their names on the shot put's top-10 performance list as Tia Brooks finished fourth with the fifth-best mark of program history at 49-8.25 (15.14) and Brittany Borman unleashed the eighth best, 47-5.00 (14.45) to finish sixth.
Staying in the throws ring, Singh brought home a second event win in the men's weight throw as the program record holder won the event by over two feet with a provisional qualifying distance of 64-1.75 (19.55).
In her first NCAA competition in the triple jump, Simmons, a junior college transfer, leapt the third-best distance in Oklahoma history to finish second. Simmons' jump of 42-3.50 (12.89) was the best by a collegiate competitor in the event.

Greenwood followed Mock to give OU the sweep in the long jump pits as he won the men's event with a top jump of 24-6.25 (7.47).
