Sooners Host No. 2 Virginia Friday, TCU Sunday

OU Duo Falls in Doubles Finals

MIDLAND, Texas – Senior Andrei Daescu and sophomore Ionut Beleleu came just shy of capturing the main doubles draw championship on Sunday in a close match that fell in favor of Pepperdine's Alex Llompart and Finn Tearney, 9-7.

Earlier in the day Daescu, No. 40 nationally, faced UT's Josh Zavala in the singles semifinals draw. Daescu started strong taking the first set 3-6, but dropped the following matches 6-1, 6-1.

Next up for the Sooners is a return trip to the State of Texas as they compete in the Baylor Invitational, Sept. 25-27.
