PHILADELPHIA — Both of the University of Oklahoma women's 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays advanced to collegiate finals action Thursday at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia. The 4x400-meter quartet of Amanda Mayfield, Tiara Sims, Sherine Wells and Leslie Cole earned the top seed heading into Saturday's college division finals with a prelims time of 3:43.83. The squad was bolstered by Cole's 400-meter split of 53.2, the second fastest anchor leg of the event.
Wells and Cole were also in action on the 4x100-meter relay as the first and third legs, respectively, where they were joined by Scottesha Miller and anchor leg Ti'Anca Mock. The four covered the track in a time of 46.31 to advance to Friday's college final.
Miller was also in action in the championship division of the long jump where she finished 12th with a jump of 19-0.75 (5.81).
