Roddick Adds First Recruit

Paval and Beleleu Advance at All-American

TULSA, Okla. – Qualifying rounds of the D'Novo/ITA All-American tournament began Monday at the University of Tulsa. Competing for the Sooners was junior Ionut Beleleu and freshman Costin Paval.

Beleleu dropped his first set, 6-2, to Wisconsin's Patrick Pohlmann, No. 98 nationally. Beleleu rallied taking the next two sets 6-4, 7-5.

Paval advanced to the qualifying round after in impressive outing in pre-qualifying action over the weekend. In his first round Paval defeated Edgar Rodriguez of Florida State 6-1, 7-5.

Tomorrow's action begins when Beleleu takes on Tulsa's Phillip Stephens, No. 65 nationally. Paval is set to take on Achim Ceban, No. 66 nationally, of San Diego State.
