Constantinescu Goes 3-1 at Cal Invite

BERKELEY, Calif.—Oklahoma's Ana-Maria Constantinescu claimed her third win in as many days at the Cal Nike Invitational Sunday.

No. 71 ranked Constantinescu finished 3-1 at the tournament after defeating Jaklin Alawi of Long Beach State, 6-1, 6-4, in the ITA A Singles consolation bracket on Sunday. 

Constantinescu also won in the consolation bracket on Saturday, defeating Minnesota's Tijana Koprivica, 7-6 (3), 6-3. 

Constantinescu's only loss came to No. 7 ranked Kelcy McKenna of Arizona State in the second round of the main draw. 

Constantinescu is now 6-2 in singles after two tournaments and will compete in the ITA All-American tournament in Pacific Palisades, Calif., beginning Oct. 6.
