NORMAN, Okla.—The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team begins the fall season Friday, Sept. 12-14, at the Razorback Classic in Fayetteville, Ark.
The three-day tournament will begin with four singles draws and two doubles draws. Eight Sooners will compete in both singles and doubles including returners Brittany Baldy, Ana-Maria Constantinescu, Tara Eckel, Kristin Gray and Maria Kalashnikova.
Along with the returners, three newcomers -- Peta Maree Lancaster, Marie-Pier Huet and Kristina Radan -- will make their Sooner debuts.
"This is a great opportunity for myself and (assistant coach) Brook (Buck-Connelly) to really get to know the girls' games, understand what they do well and what they need to work on before the spring season,” said OU head coach Dave Mullins. “We will also get a lot of much needed match play against some good teams.”
Oklahoma will be competing against Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Tulsa, and Kansas State. The first singles draw begins Friday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. CST.
