NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team (6-5, 0-2) will spend its spring break in Jacksonville, Fla., taking on Jacksonville University (9-3) Wednesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. (CDT) at the Keith Watson Tennis Complex.
Wednesday will mark the first matchup between the two programs.
Oklahoma comes into Wednesday's match after falling to Texas and Texas A&M in Norman on March 15 and 16.
"We are really looking forward to going in and playing new competition," OU head coach Mark Johnson said. "Jacksonville has a great program and is always very strong in its conference."
In doubles action, Oklahoma is currently led by senior Chelsea Orr and freshman Ana-Maria Constantinescu. The pair suffered their first loss Saturday against Texas, but rebounded Sunday against Texas A&M, to up their season record to 9-1.
Jacksonville enters Wednesday's competition with a six-match winning streak. The Dolphins have won 16 straight matches over Atlantic Sun Conference opponents.
