WICHITA, Kan. -- The Oklahoma Sooners women's tennis team fell to 4-2 Friday with a loss to the 34th ranked Wichita State Shockers.

The Shockers jumped out to an early lead as they took the first two matches in straight sets from Sooner freshman Maria Kalashnikova and sophomore Elena Antakova.

Oklahoma would take the next two decisions as Chelsea Orr beat Wichita State's Torrie Browning in straight sets (6-3, 6-5). No. 33 Ana-Maria Constantinescu remained undefeated in the regular season, taking out 77th ranked Stephanie Dalmacio (6-4, 6-4).

"We had our chances," OU head Coach Mark Johnson said. "We just didn't finish the big points."

The Shockers took all remaining matches to seal the contest 5-2. Oklahoma senior Christi Baxley kept her match close after taking the first set 6-3, but fell in the next two 6-1, 6-4.

The win give Wichita State its first win of the season and put Oklahoma at 4-2.   

The Sooners will return home to Oklahoma for six consecutive matches starting Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. against Alabama in Oklahoma City.
