Sooners Continue in Evanston

EVANSTON, Ill. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team went 6-13 overall on Saturday on the second day of competition at the Wildcat Invitational.

In singles action the Sooners went 4-11 over the course of the day. Sophomore Ana-Maria Constantinescu won in the Flight A second round defeating Ghazal from Northwestern, 6-3, 6-2. Following her win, Constantinescu fell to Schofield from South Carolina, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5.

In doubles the Sooners went 2-2. Tara Eckel teamed with Constantinescu and Marie Huet teamed with Kristina Radan won in the round three consolation draw. Meanwhile, Brittany Baldy teamed with Kristin Gray and Maria Kalashnikova teamed with Peta Maree Lancaster were both defeated in Flight B of Doubles.

The Sooners finish competition in Evanston Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
