NORMAN, Okla. - Three members of the University of Oklahoma women's golf team are set to participate in the Women's Oklahoma Golf Association Stroke Play Championship scheduled for July 16-17.  Kendall Dye, Andrea Sellmeyer and Heather Wright will join a field of over 90 of the state's top amateurs at Winter Creek Golf Club in Blanchard.

Tee times for day one of the 36-hole stroke play competition begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, while Tuesday's final round will commence with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

An Edmond Santa Fe High School product, Dye is entering her junior year at Oklahoma.  As a sophomore she finished in a career-best second-place tie at the Mountain View Collegiate, shooting a second-round 68.  Her runner-up finish also marked the best showing by a Sooner last season. Dye also opened the 2006-07 schedule with a then-career-best ninth-place effort at the Badger Invitational.

Andrea Sellmeyer saw action in five tournaments as a freshman.  The McAlester, Okla., native notched a 13th-place tie in her season-best showing at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas. She carded a 69 in the second round of the event, her best round of the year.

Wright, from Houston, Texas, posted the team's lowest stroke average for the year (75.8).  The senior-to-be shot a 221 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic to finish in a tie for 15th and also led the Sooners in their annual home tournament, the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic, by shooting a 218 (+2) to land in a tie for 12th place.

To be eligible for the 2007 WOGA State Stroke Play Championship players must be a WOGA member, have a USGA handicap index, be a member of a WOGA member club and be listed on the member club's complete handicap printout sheet.
