Sooners Ready for Razorbacks

February 08, 2007 | Men's Tennis

NORMAN, Okla. The OU men's tennis team will make the first stop of their two match road trip Friday. The Sooners are scheduled to face the University of Arkansas Razorbacks at the Dills Indoor Tennis in Fayetteville, Ark.

No. 62 Oklahoma is currently 3-1 on the season with the lone loss to No. 16 Oklahoma State.  Mixing doubles tandems and moving players in singles spots has proven an effective strategy for the Sooners as they have swept the competition in their last two matches.

Oklahoma is prepared to battle a tough Arkansas team.  The No. 47 Razorbacks are 5-3 on the season and have won their last four consecutive matches. The Arkansas team is led by sophomore Blake Strode.

The Sooners are eager to pick up their fourth win of the season against the Razorbacks. Oklahoma and Arkansas are scheduled to square off at 5 p.m. Results will be posted on Soonersports.com as soon as they are available.
