Kacmar Defeated in Semifinals

NORMAN, Okla. -- OU freshman Ondrej Kacmar was defeated Sunday in the semifinals at the sixth annual Baylor HEB Intercollegiate Invitational in Waco, Texas.

Kacmar made his collegiate debut this weekend, defeating players from Rice, LCC, TCU and Radford. Sunday morning, Kacmar's four-match winning streak came to an end when he was defeated by Wichita State's Tiago E. Santo.

Kacmar lost the first set, 1-6, but came back in the second to win 6-4. He was eventually defeated by Santo in the third set 4-6.

Santo advanced to the finals where he faced Lamar's Mario Janjic. He defeated Janjic for the green bracket championship in two sets, 6-1, 6-3.

The Sooners next tournament will be the ITA All-American (Pre-Qualifying) Tournament, Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Tulsa, Okla. Results will be posted as soon as they become available.
