The 30th-ranked Oklahoma women's tennis team (12-3, 3-2 Big 12) returns home this Sunday, March 30, to play No. 51 TCU. Match time is scheduled for noon at the OU Headington Family Tennis Center. TCU is the ninth consecutive ranked opponent OU has faced and 10th overall this season. The Horned Frogs travel to No. 53 Tulsa and No. 41 Oklahoma State prior to their trip to Norman. They currently sport a record of 7-6 overall and 2-1 in Conference USA. The Horned Frogs lead the series with OU (7-6) since the 1989 season.

Sooners Pick Up Two Wins On Texas Road Trip
The Sooner women went 2-1 on their tough road trip through the state of Texas. Oklahoma got off to a good start edging then-No. 75 UT-San Antonio, 4-3. With 11 wins and only one loss, it was OU's best start since the 1995-96 season.

The Sooners ran into a determined Texas A&M team in College Station on March 20 and were defeated 5-2. The 29th-ranked Aggies took the No. 1 and 2 doubles matches to take the early lead. Ou could only win two singles matches and dropped their first conference match of the season.

Oklahoma bounced back in a huge way with a 4-3 victory over the 43rd-ranked Texas Longhorns in Austin. It was OU's first win over Texas since the formation of the Big 12 Conference. OU swept the doubles for the ninth time this season and posted victories at the No. 1, 2 and 4 singles postions. The Sooners moved to an impressive 6-2 versus ranked opponents while the Longhorns were handed their first conference loss on the season.

The road didn't get any easier as the Sooners fell to No. 41 Oklahoma State, 5-2, on March 26. OU lost the doubles point for only the second time this season and could only muster two victories in singles.

Leading The Sooners
Junior Anda Perianu (Braila, Romania) continues to rack up victories at No. 1 singles. She is currently ranked 76th by the ITA and sports a 12-2 at No. 1 singles. Perianu has won eight of nine since falling to Tulsa's 24th-ranked Alicia Pillay.

At doubles, Perianu and sophomore Heather Saluri (Des Moines, Iowa) are ranked 49th in the ITA rankings while sporting a record of 8-1 at No. 1. On the year, the duo is 13-2. As a team, the Sooners are 34-6 in doubles this spring.
