Sooner doubles team comes up short in semifinals

NORMAN, Okla. Oklahoma's No. 2 doubles team of Tommy Garrison (Enid, Okla.) and Ondrej Fukala (Prerov, Czech Republic) lost a 9-8 heartbreaker to Wichita State's Juan Escalante and Gabriel Loredo in the semifinals of the 2003 ITA Region V Men's Tennis Championships Sunday. The event was held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, host of the 2004 NCAA Tennis Championships, in Tulsa, Okla.
