Women's Tennis Dominates Iowa State

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma women's tennis team used its home court advantage today to defeat Iowa State, 7-0. The Sooners also defeated Colorado, 6-1, at the Oaktree Country Club on Saturday to improve their league mark to 3-4.

The Sooners took all six singles matches and the three doubles match to sweep the cyclones. Sophomore Anda Perianu defeated Iowa State's Noortje Cornelissen at No. 1 singles to improve to 17-6 on the season. Freshman Bethany Griffin improved to 17-7 with a straight set victory over the Cyclone's Courtney Leese at the No. 4 spot. In doubles action, freshman Heather Saluri and Griffin were victorious at the No. 1 spot, moving to 15-9 on the year.

Oklahoma returns to action on Wednesday, April 17, against Oklahoma State. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the OU Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman.
