Men's Tennis Ready To Open Big 12 Play In Texas

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team will be in action this weekend against No. 14 Texas on Friday, March 8, and No. 24 Texas A&M on Saturday, March 9. Match time with the Longhorns is set for 2 p.m. at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center in Austin, Texas, while the match with the Aggies is set for 1 p.m. at the Texas A&M Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.

Oklahoma is 5-2 on the season with both losses coming on the road against ranked opponents. The Sooners fell to No. 62 New Mexico, 7-0, on Feb. 5, and No. 73 Texas-Arlington, 4-2, on Feb. 22.

Texas is 10-0 on the season and is off to the best start in school history. Texas A&M is 6-2 on the year, with its only losses coming to the No. 14 Longhorns and Rice.

Oklahoma returns to action on Monday, March 18, against Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii.
