Women's Tennis Prepare For Action in Hawaii

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team will be in action this week in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Sooners will take on Chaminade University on Monday, March 18, Hawaii on March 19 and Clemson on March 20. Match time with is set for 4 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 11:30 a.m., respectively. All matches will be played in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Oklahoma is 8-2 on the year and ranked No. 42 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll. Chaminade is 0-7 on the season, Hawaii is 6-2 and Clemson is 6-6 and ranked No. 75.
"I wish we would have been able to get outside a little bit more so we would be used to the heat," head coach Mark Johnson said. "But, I think we will be okay because we're in good shape right now. We're hoping to get through those first two days and really peak as we head into the Clemson match."
Oklahoma returns to action March 26 at Texas Tech. Match time is set for 12 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock, Texas.
