Women's Tennis Pounds St. Louis, 6-1

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team defeated St. Louis, 6-1, on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Sante Fe Country Club in Edmond, Okla. The Sooners improve to 5-0 on the season and are off to their best start in five years. The Billikens drop to 3-2 on the season.

Oklahoma lost only one singles match, while dominating doubles play by winning all three matches. In singles play, Anda Perianu (4-0) and Heather Saluri (5-0) remain unbeaten on the year for the Sooners. In doubles action, the duo of Perianu and Elena Jirnova improve to 4-0 this season.

Oklahoma is back in action on Thursday, Feb. 21, against TCU. Match time with the Lady Frogs is set for 2 p.m. at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Ft. Worth, Texas.
