LINCOLN, Neb. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Nebraska Thursday at the Cather-Pounds Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb. OU slipped to 2-10 for the season and 0-8 in Big 12 Conference action. The Huskers improved to 9-12 overall and 3-4 in league play.
Sophomore Matt Ogle scored the Sooners' only point of the match by way of a 6-3, 6-4, triumph over NU's Lance Mills at the No. 2 singles spot. Ogle and fellow sophomore Chris Mitchell nearly pulled out the win at No. 1 doubles before succumbing 9-8 (4) in the tiebreaker.
Nebraska won the five remaining singles positions and all three doubles slots to take the win.
Oklahoma continues its two-match road trip on Saturday at Colorado. Both the Sooner men's and women's team will meet the Buffs at 10 a.m. for their final regular season duals.
