Women's Tennis Ends Regionals With Two Losses

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team ended the Omni Hotels Central Region Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla., with losses to Iowa State and Southwest Missouri State.

Freshman Elena Jirnova dropped her final match to ISU's Noartje Cornelissen (6-4, 4-6, 6-7), while freshman Anda Perianu lost to SMS's Oyukl Cruz (0-6, 3-6, 4-6).

Oklahoma is next in action at the ITA National Indoor Championships on Nov. 8-11, in Dallas, Texas.
