Women's Tennis Takes Doubles Title At ITA Regionals.

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team captured first place in back draw doubles when freshmen Heather Saluri and Bethany Griffin defeated two teams from BYU at the Omni Hotels Central Region Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

The Sooner duo defeated BYU's Lisa Khoudoirova and Carlsson (8-5) in the semifinals of the doubles back draw and were victorious over Brooke Ferney and Lu Oswald of BYU (8-3) to take the title.

Oklahoma is next in action on Sunday, Oct. 28, beginning at 9 a.m. The final round of matches are being played at the Tulsa Southern Tennis Club.
